Newington , United States - April 17, 2018 /PressCable/ —

Express Your Smile clear aligners are now offered by East Cedar Dental in New in CT. They are custom made with an affordable alternative to those with mildly crooked teeth. For less than $2,000, those who need a mild aligning of teeth now have a cost effective solution with the added benefit of reduced dental visits.

How Treatment Works

A consult with Dr. Farrokh is completed to determine treatment needs. Photographs and digital impressions are taken by a sophisticated computer program and a treatment plan is developed. The latest advanced computer technology is used to create a sequence of ten precise BPA-free aligners. Each aligner will work its magic in creating small shifts, so when treatment is complete, teeth will be perfectly aligned.

Patients are to wear the aligners for 20-22 hours per day, removing them to eat. It takes 6-9 months for full treatment, after which Express Your Smile® will send retainers and a bleaching kit to brighten the teeth.

Customized Plan

Trial aligners will be sent first to assure that they fit and are comfortable. Once the trial period ends, patients are sent five sets of aligners for lower and upper teeth that are worn for two weeks each. Before moving on to the next set of five aligners, an out-of-office consult will be completed to be sure the aligners are comfortable and fitting properly. Then, patients are sent the final set of five aligners in the mail. Finally, once treatment is complete, a free set of lower and upper retainers and bleaching kit are sent.

Express Your Smile Costs

Express Your Smile clear aligners are a fraction of the cost of other forms of teeth straigtening treatments, with an upfront payment option of $1595. Some orthodontic insurances do cover the cost and financing options are available through Express Your Smile®, allowing for any budget to receive the benefits of treatment.

Decreased Doctor Visits

Using Express Your Smile® aligners to straighten a smile is advantageous because there’s less treatment time and less doctor visits. This at-home treatment uses the most advanced technology and is more affordable than traditional orthodontic treatment.

EU preparing to hit back if US puts tariffs on car imports

Jul 20, 2018

BRUSSELS — The European Union says it is already preparing measures to retaliate against the United States if President Donald Trump puts tariffs on imported cars and auto parts. The auto industry is a big employer and exporter in Europe, and the new tariffs could hit the region hard, as well as consumers and manufacturers in the U.S., where prices would rise. EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said Thursday that the 28-nation bloc would be forced to impose more "rebalancing measures" if Trump escalates existing trade tensions with the auto tariffs. U.S. tariffs on imported steel and aluminum imports took...

Ex-official facing trial recognized as refugee in Belarus

Jul 20, 2018

MINSK, Belarus — A former Ukrainian defense minister accused of embezzling $2 million has been granted refugee status in neighboring Belarus. Mykhailo Yezhel told journalists in the Belarusian capital on Wednesday that he and his family are living in Minsk. Yezhel could be sentenced to up to six years in prison if he is tried and convicted in Ukraine. He is accused of engaging in widespread corruption as defense minister from 2010-2012 under pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych, who was later ousted in a popular uprising. Among the specific allegations is that Yezhel stole money meant for army rations and tried...

19 dead, 25 missing as migrant boat capsizes north of Cyprus

Jul 20, 2018

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Nineteen people drowned when a boat loaded with as many as 150 people who were thought to be migrants capsized off the northern coast of Cyprus, a Turkish Cypriot official said Wednesday. Tolga Atakan, the transport minister in the breakaway north of ethnically divided Cyprus, told The Associated Press that rescue crews were searching for 25 missing passengers in an area where a passing cargo ship reported spotting people in the water. The Turkish coast guard said it rescued 103 of the capsized vessel's passengers and took them to Turkey. One seriously injured person was being treated...

EU tries to limit influx of steel diverted by US tariffs

Jul 20, 2018

BRUSSELS — The European Union has announced measures to shield its market from a glut of steel heading to the continent after the U.S. imposed tariffs on imports of the metal. The Trump administration put tariffs this year on steel and aluminum from several countries, including the 28 of the EU. The EU now fears that steel from around the world that would have gone to the U.S. will be diverted to the EU, swamping its market. EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said that "we are left with no other choice than to introduce provisional safeguard measures to protect our...

EU, US relations sinking further after divisive Trump tour

Jul 20, 2018

BRUSSELS — After a week of the worst barrage of insults yet from U.S. President Donald Trump, the European Union is looking westward toward the White House less and less. Making it worse, Trump spent Monday cozying up to EU adversary Vladimir Putin in an extraordinary chummy summit with the Russian leader in Helsinki. Never mind. In an age when Trump has made political optics all-important, on Tuesday the EU struck back. Key EU leaders were in the far east in Japan and China looking for the trust, friendship and cooperation they could no longer get from a century-old ally....
